| 1 | The Boy in the Iceberg | February 21st, 2005 | Two siblings named Katara and Sokka discover a boy frozen in an Iceberg named Aang. Its not long before the two notice he's an airbender. |
| 2 | The Avatar Returns | February 21st, 2005 | Prince Zuko discovers the young airbenders' hideout and takes Aang as hostage back to the Fire Nation. Katara and Sokka depart from their home in hoping to find and return Aang to safety. |
| 3 | The Southern Air Temple | February 25th, 2005 | After a hundred years in the iceberg, Aang returns home to the Southern Air Temple. The Earth, Water and Fire Nation discovers of the Avatars' return, triggered by his Avatar State. Meanwhile, Zuko is in conflict with Commander Zhao. |
| 4 | The Warriors of Kyoshi | March 4th, 2005 | After a thrilling chased by the Unagi, the gang are captured by the warriors of Kyoshi Island but soon become the honoured guests. Its not long before Zuko invades the island to capture the Avatar. |
| 5 | The King of Omashu | March 18th, 2005 | After a wild goose ride on the Omashu delivery system, the Avatar is faced with three deadly challenges by the King of Omashu as punishment. Katara and Sokka are given a growing crystal and the longer Aang takes, the more it grows. |
| 6 | Imprisoned | March 25th, 2005 | Katara accidentally has a young earth bender arrested and taken to a Fire Nation coal mine in the middle of the ocean. She decides thereon to rescue him and the hostile earth benders. |
| 7 | The Winter Solstice (Part 1) | April 8th, 2005 | After failing to help a village attacked by a spirit monster, Aang is trapped in the spirit world and is visited by an unexpected guest. Now, he has to devise a plan to bring peace to the village once again. |
| 8 | Avatar Roku (The Winter Solstic, Part 2) | April 15th, 2005 | After his experience in the spirit world, Aang makes his way to the Crescent Shaped Island on the day of the Solstice in order to speak to Avatar Roku. However, the journey to the Island isn't as smooth as you'd think with a few obstacles along the way. |
| 9 | The Waterbending Scroll | April 29th, 2005 | Katara discovers a waterbending scroll and decides to steal it from the pirates. Once they successfully managed to evade the pirates, they find a quiet location to learn from the scroll. However, its not long before Zuko is gaining up on their tracks. |
| 10 | Jet | May 6th, 2005 | After Sokkas' instincts prove the gang wrong, they walk right into a Fire Nation camp site but are saved by a group of freedom fighters. Jet, the leader of the freedom fighters, uses Katara and Aang to his advantage to rid a nearby Earth Kingdom village from the Fire Nation, but will things go according to plan? |
| 11 | The Great Divide | May 20th, 2005 | After a feud between two different tribes, Aang has to aid the Zhangs and the Ghan-Jins across the mighty canyon. But after the canyon guide becomes attacked, they are left stranded in the canyon. |
| 12 | The Storm | June 3rd, 2005 | Aang explains the story of how he fled from the Southern Air Temple and ended up frozen in an iceberg. Meanwhile, Iroh reveals parts of Zukos' past and how he was burdened with the scar. |
| 13 | The Blue Spirit | June 17th, 2005 | Sokka and Katara become ill after the storm and Aang has to find and return the cure to heal them. Meanwhile, Commander Zhao is promoted to Admiral and sends the YuYen archers after Aang. A mysterious character with a 'blue oni mask' makes its way into the fort to rescue Aang. |
| 14 | The Fortuneteller | September 23rd, 2005 | A fortuneteller who can predict the fate of an entire village and an individual puts Aang and Katara on a chase to find out whether their predictions will come true or not. Meanwhile, Sokka tries to convince everyone that fortune telling is lies. After an incorrect fortunetelling, the town suddenly falls under danger from destruction. |
| 15 | Bato of the Water Tribe | October 7th, 2005 | Sokka, using his warrior skills, finds a boat belonging to their tribe. After deciding to camp near the boat, a close friend of their father emerges, Bato. Meanwhile, Zuko hires a deadly bounty hunter to hunt the Avatar. |
| 16 | The Deserter | October 21st, 2005 | In order to master firebending, Aang has to find someone who does not follow the Firelord in violence. However, is the teacher ready to teach Aang? |
| 17 | The Northern Air Temple | November 4th, 2005 | After discovering there are living and breathing airbenders, Aang wastes no time and heads for the Northern Air Temple. Its not long before the temple is in danger from a Fire Nation invasion. |
| 18 | The Waterbending Master | November 18th, 2005 | Finally arriving at the Northern Water Tribe, Aang and Katara quickly search for a waterbending master. However, the master isn't willing to teach Katara. Meanwhile, Admiral Zhao assassinates Zuko and prepares a mighty fleet to invade the Northern Water Tribe. |
| 19 | The Siege of the North (Part 1) | December 2nd, 2005 | The armies of the Fire Nation reach the Northern Water Tribe with the invasion being lead by Admiral Zhao. Meanwhile, Aang pays another visit to the spirit world in search of the Ocean and Moon spirits. |
| 20 | The Siege of the North (Part 2) | December 2nd, 2005 | Aang confronts Koh the face stealer in order to save the Northern Water Tribe. Meanwhile Admiral Zhao and his soldiers head directly to the heart of the North Pole to find and kill the Moon spirit. Will Aang return in time to stop Zhao and his deadly invasion forces? |

| 22 | The Cave of Two Lovers | March 24th, 2006 | The gang are led through a secret tunnel to reach Omashu. The entrance collapses and they all become trapped. Katara, Aang and Appa make their own way out while Sokka, Momo and the singing nomads travel together to find an exit. Elsewhere, Iroh eats a poisonous plant and develops rashes. |
| 23 | Return to Omashu | April 7th, 2006 | The gang return to Omashu, only to find it has been taken over by the Fire Nation. Aang goes in search of Bumi. Meanwhile, Sokka and Katara ensures all the citizens of Omashu evacuate the city as soon and safely as possible. |
| 24 | The Swamp | April 14th, 2006 | After being pulled into a swamp by a tornado, the group becomes separated and begin imagining visions. Meanwhile, Appa and Momo become hunted by swamp benders. |
| 25 | Avatar Day | April 28th, 2006 | After the gangs camping site is attacked by Rough Rhinos, the gang make their way to a town to restock their supplies. However, all goes wrong as they accuse Aang of killing their leader, Chin the Great. Meanwhile, Sokka and Katara return to Kyoshi Island, hoping to prove Aang is innocent. |
| 26 | The Blind Bandit | May 5th, 2006 | The gang attend an Earth Kingdom tournament and Aang notices that the blind earthbending master is the same girl in his vision in the swamp. After failing to reach an agreement with the blind earthbender, Aang goes in search of finding her. |
| 27 | Zuko Alone | May 12th, 2006 | After leaving Iroh, Zuko continues his journey through the Earth Kingdom. During his journey, he visions continuous flashbacks of his past and life before banishment. |
| 28 | The Chase | May 26th, 2006 | The gang find it unable to sleep as they're being followed by an unknown metal tank with nothing but danger inside. The sleepless night develops into a feud between Katara and Toph. |
| 29 | Bitter Work | June 2nd, 2006 | Aang finally begins to learn earthbending but is finding it hard to cope with the element and the teacher. Elsewhere, Sokka traps himself into a hole after a failed attempt to catch food. Meanwhile, Iroh teaches Zuko how to redirect lightning. |
| 30 | The Library | July 14th, 2006 | In search of information on the Fire Nation, the gang takes a trip to the legendary library of Wan Shi Tong. However, the gang discover something more than what they had anticipated. |
| 31 | The Desert | July 12th, 2006 | After Appa's capture, the gang make their way towards Ba Sing Se by following the stars. Elsewhere, Iroh meets with a secret society, hoping to receive aid to Ba Sing Se. |
| 32 | The Serpent's Pass | September 15th, 2006 | In order to reach Ba Sing Se, the gang must find a way to cross through the Serpent's Pass. Meanwhile, Zuko and Iroh take the ferry to Ba Sing Se and come across Jet. |
| 33 | The Drill | September 15th, 2006 | With a giant drill heading towards the outer wall of Ba Sing Se, the gang make their way into the drill in hoping to take it down from the inside. |
| 34 | City of Walls and Secrets | September 22nd, 2006 | The gang finally arrives in Ba Sing Se and are given a tour guide who misleads the gang on finding Appa. Meanwhile, Jet is convinced that Iroh and Zuko are firebenders after witnessing Iroh heating his tea at the train station. |
| 35 | Tales of Ba Sing Se | September 29th, 2006 | Toph and Katara attend a beauty saloon; Iroh helps the people of the lower ring; Aang helps a Zoo Keeper; Sokka winds up in a poetry class; Zuko has a date and Momo goes in search of finding Appa. This episode is also a dedication to Mako, the original voice of Iroh. |
| 36 | Appa's Lost Days | October 13th, 2006 | After Appa's unexpected capture by the sand benders, this episode shows his journey though the Earth Kingdom. Meanwhile, Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors run into Appa but are soon tracked by Azula, Mai and Ty Lee. |
| 37 | Lake Laogai | November 3rd, 2006 | Zuko discovers that Aang is in the city searching for Appa. Meanwhile, Jet re-introduces himself to the gang but he does not appear to be himself. |
| 38 | The Earth King | November 17th, 2006 | After discovering the conspiracy between Long Feng and the Dai Li, the gang make their way to the Earth King's palace to save the kingdom. Its not long before the Dai Li become aware of the actions and destroy all evidence of Lake Laogai. |
| 39 | The Guru | December 1st, 2006 | Aang sets course towards the Eastern Air Temple to meet a spiritual guru; Toph becomes captured; Sokka joins Hakoda in Chamellion Bay and Katara remains in Ba Sing Se to prepare the invasion plan. But will everything go according to plan? |
